When you think of upscale golfing, the 18-hole Championship Golf Course at the Country Club of Ocala comes quickly to mind. This course has played host to some of the most prestigious amateur events on the circuit. Your skillset doesn’t matter. There are five sets of tees to cater to both professionals and amateurs. Besides the gorgeous layout, which cuts through majestic oaks and hardwoods, you can make use of the spacious driving range, putting greens, and the short game practice area. The course was designed in 1994 by Steve Nugent and is a 6,920-yard par 72 experience. It’s even won two Best Golf Course awards from Ocala Magazine.

On-Site Tennis & Fitness at the Country Club of Ocala
Keeping in shape is fun and easy when you live in the Country Club of Ocala and are a member. There are five clay hydro tennis courts in addition to two hard courts, so you can learn on the court that suits you and your fitness level best. The swimming pool is a junior Olympic pool, which is open from 7am to dark and has food service. The fitness center features eight cardiovascular machines, top-of-the-line Star Trac strength equipment, free weights, a cable cross over machine, and four Med X core apparatuses. Whatever your goal is, you can achieve it. There’s even the availability of a personal trainer.
Dining at the Country Club of Ocala
There are two great dining options at the Country Club of Ocala: Club Dining and the Patio.
The Golf Club restaurant seats you in one of two dining rooms which overlook the Club’s waterfall and stream, or you can opt to sit on the wrap-around porch to enjoy other beautiful views. Dining options there are lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch.
For more casual fare, the Patio is a café in the Tennis Clubhouse, and offers lunch and dinner seven days a week, mostly burgers, sandwiches, salads, and wraps.
