Padua Farm: Exceptional Beauty and Rich History

The exceptional beauty of Padua Stables with its open, rolling countryside and scenic lakes, has an exceptional history to match.

It was here among these spreading oaks and rolling hills that Silver Charm was foaled in 1994. Trained by Bob Baffert and Gary Stephens, Silver Charm went on to win the 1997 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes. Finishing second in the Belmont Stakes, Silver Charm missed the Triple Crown by just three quarters of a length.

Along with Silver Charm, this farm also produced numerous graded stakes winners and four Breeder’s Cup champions.

Developer David Hutson opened what was then known as Silverleaf Farm in 1990. After the success of Silver Charm and others, the property was sold in 1997 to Satish Sanan, founder and former CEO of IMRglobal Corp., a firm providing business consulting, software development and outsourcing services. Renaming it Padua Stables, Sanan invested significantly in the facility, improving on its potential for breeding champions.

With proximity to Ocala and The Villages (one of the fastest growing communities in the United States), as well as the Florida Horse Park, Padua Stables is primed for potential as a world-class equine facility for the investor with ready to make another contribution to thoroughbred history.
